Zombie AU PN

When you've got a big brain in an apocalypse.

Osian: are you -sure- this is a good idea? this area seems real suspicious man...


Ed: ^gearing up to trick some suckers out of their goods^ You sure we're takin the chance?

Roy: We have to help people when we see them, there's only so many of us left, come on

Al: ^messes up hair before pulling hat over ears again and nods^ big group with a leader that can be held hostage? big rewards, now act sad ^punches his arm to get out some of those tears^

osian: this is exactly how bad shit would happen in movies, i just want you to know that

ed: ^snorts a laugh and rubs arm^ you know you gotta aim lower if you want real tears ^mushes face to get the red cheeks^

Roy: Come on ^leads them into that back room^

Al: ^gets ready to reply but stops short seeing them come in and bites lip^

osian: ^follows but Very Wary^

ed: ^Immediately turns teary eyed and desperate, jerking head in their direction^ ^tearfully breathless^ Oh thank god ^quickly but carefully makes way to them^ Please ^lets voice break^ you gotta help us

Al: ^and he sees the most angelic little teary eyed face^ Edward, you can't, we can't ^little sob^

Roy: ^distracted then sees Al ^ is... is he?

Osian: ^heart immediately ejected from body bc of my good???? Why is fate so cruel??^

Ed: ^closes eyes tight a littletear slipping down cheek and nods small^ please...help us

Al: ^had been put to fixing the kitchen with a lil helper!

Roy: ^coming up to the hospital and seeing just how bad it is^ It's surrounded, great

s: ^full on ecSTATIC and a great little helper^

e: ^tugs him to a corner that has something that could very easilly be knocked over to hit a window for higher floors^ ^pulls him down and gets on tippy toes and whispers^ at my signal, push this, break the window, and get inside and secure the room, ok? I got a plan ^doesnt give him a chance to question anything before quickly running off and disappearing^

Al: ^Gives him doable jobs while he works on the tough stuff with ease but is careful to pace himself, allowing himself little breaks if the fumes from the cleaning supplies is too much or if he's working too rigorously^

Roy: ^quietly in that stage whisper^ Wha- Hey! Ah.... Damn brat ^Shakes head and looks after him worriedly but tries to convince himself, if Ed got himself killed it wasn't Roy's fault^ Climbs up and very quietly gets the windw out of it's frame and catches it before it falls and creates a clatter. Carefully throws the glass into the soft glass before turning his gaze inward, to see if there are any threats in the room^

ed: *and we know ed's a chaos creature, but also a smart one too a good distance away some SOUNDS happen, loud enough to get the attention of the zombies loitering around to clear a good path to the hospital, maybe to get some insides attention, but nothing that'd truly DRAW more to the area, hell it may even drive them AWAY from the area if it's a moving car or something, totally good enough for an opening to get inside and make noise if you need to, also if you need to throw other zombies out the window*

Roy: listens for a minute and shakes his head with a little laugh. “Clever thing, I’ll give him that.”

With that he climbs in carefully. The room has minimal zombies, but still enough that Roy appreciates the distraction. The zombies inside have turned toward the sound that Ed had made and are mindlessly walking against the wall. Creeping close, Roy stalks up to one of the creatures. Grabbing it around the chest to stop it from struggling noisily, Roy secures a thick hunting knife into soft flesh under the jaw, the blade sliding easily upwards into the brain. Black blood coursed down his forearm like water in a stream. Once limp, Roy lowers the body to the ground, keeping eyes on the others. The zombies clawed desperately at the wall, unknowingly ripping nails off of their rotting fingers.

With that amount of distraction, it was easy for Roy to finish them off. The last one was the only one that noticed he was there before it’s death. Roy killed that one by stabbing it in the eye socket with his extra knife. Once done, he returned to the window, peering out to see if his small comrade was on his way back yet.

sio: OOPS) The boy was quite a strong worker, truth be told, and seemed even more excited to not only have a job but a new friend as well. He knew if his brother trusted the stranger enough to let him spend the day around knives, then the person was good stock, "How come ya wear hats indoors? A'e ye cold?" His excitement made his accept pop and he flushed, hoping that he wouldn't be seen as rude or odd, he forced himself to settle and tried to reign in on the accent, "Sorry, 's been 'while since I gotta meet someone new, ye'c'n igore me easy if ya like, i wouldna hold it against ya."

ed: he knew the smart thing to do would be to follow the trail Roy had made, but no one ever accused him of being smart. Especially when a hospital was up for the taking, and the possibility of drawing even a small percentage of the hoard back to the building was strong, instead he ducked around the hoard and made a quick but careful dash to a smashed window in the front of the building. He'd already lured the ones that were near out, and he easily evaded the others, light on his feet as he was. he knew the layouts to hospitals like the back of his hand by now. Knew there was good things to grab from the lost and found, and so many places doctors and nurses kept medicines and needles and supplies. the obvious places would probably have been scavenged already, he didn't hold hope out for the electric doors either. He could get them open if they were undisturbed and he sure as hell was gonna try.

he had't been to this hospital in awhile, but he recalled the layout, the lost and found was in the main office on this floor, as was urgent care and a surgery room. it might be worth to poke his head in, but he'd put his money more on the locked rooms upstairs and the basements oh the morgue would be a -wonder- but he had the list he needed memorized, and knew where to check.

he knew where Roy was too, which floor, which room even, if ed was quick enough he might be able to meet him in the stairwell when he inevitably decided to either come looking for Ed or go looking other floors for supplies.

His first stop was the lost and found, and oh did he find some treasure. Some bags for easy carrying the ounty he just -knew- hed find, some clothes and something shiny for Al to appease the ire he might have when Ed showed his face with the supplies he said he wouldn't get. Then he strategically made his way through the offices and rooms he knew would have -something- and made quick work of his list, as well as specialty items people wouldn't think to take. the first foor pharmacy was thoroughly ransacked, but ed found some cough medicine, some antibiotics and maybe even allergy medicine. he arefully bundled the pills to muffle their rattling in the bags that he hoped he'd fill. the dead were easy to avoid and even easier for him to kill even if it still made him sick that he had to do it. they might not be people anymore, but they sure as hell looked like it.

he pushed that thought deep down and his ears perked underneath his hat when he was making his way to the third floor. the movement was too fast to be a dead thing. A sense of unease settled in his stomache though and he hastened his step, bypassing the third floor altogether. if he didn't trust Roy to thoroughly examine, and his senses were faulty, he'd just go back, but as it stood he hightailed it to the fourth floor, and perked his ears to listen. it was so quiet he almost ducked back into the stairway when he heard something. He didn't want to think on it and throw caution to the wind as he booked it toward the sound. relief and dread pulled hi into nausea as he saw Roy, who seemed to have struck a jackpot, but was unaware to his company- and oh did he have company. he noticed ed's foot falls, but not before Ed threw himself at him and knocked him into a corner, falling on him and using himself as a shield to the hungry little mouths that had shuffled their way across the floor. there were three and they lunged too. Ed had one on his foot, and two on his arm. he could practically smell the horror at the sight, it still sometimes startled ed to see these once human faces gnawing on him, but he was't in danger and twisted his hand carefully to get the dead to chew on his hand instead of his wrist. He bent his wrist and pressed what could only be called a button and a nice bit of metal shot out of his forearm, spearing the ugly thing through the head, he kicked out at the one on his foot and quickly brought the metal down and squished through it's head while using his right leg to push the one on his elow back enough to stab it through the head.

adrenaline high but wearing off Ed slouched back against Roy and looked up, casting a grin at him, "Didja miss me?"

Roy: Whatever had been on Roy's mind was wiped clean as he looked down at the painfully beautiful and charming boy plastered to him. Roy hadn't so much as thought about sexual desires since the whole epidemic had happened. But right now, on a super important mission, all he could think of was how badly he wanted to kiss Edward. Roy couldn't stop thinking about how badly he wanted to take off Edwards clothes and just ravish the hell out of him, even with the zombie guts laying practically an inch away. In movies, the protagonist would tell the other protagonist as much but in an eloquent sexy way but all Roy could manage was this.

"Car sex?"

Before Ed could manage a reply, one of the dead but not as dead as orignally thought zombie lunched forward. Ed easily crushed the thing with his metal foot but not before it grabbed the hat right off of his head.

So, Roy hadn't seen a cat since before the epidemic either. It would appear that Edward was giving him all kinds of feelings he forgot he had today.


Al: smiles and crouches before the little guy, fixing his shirt and the little one can see that Al would NEVER do that even before he says it. "Accents make us who we are. Be proud to be you," Al suggested before ruffling his hair. Al goes over to the now squeaky clean counter and picks up an apron putting it on.

"Have you ever made a pie before?" Al asks, Al picks up another apron, and it's the little guys size.

Ed couldn't help the slightly breathless laugh quickly replaced by a grunt of effort, then sheer panic squeezed his heart. he snatched his hat back from the now DEAD dead fingers and stood, clearly not thinking straight, slipping immediately on brains and other gooey bits. he struggled to stay upright and get the hat on but ultimately succeeded and turned wide eyes to Roy, still in the corner, "You didn't see that, nothing just happened." His voice came out too quick, and he really wasn't playing it very cool.

s: Siobhans eyes shone brightly as he stared at Al, pure unadulterated awe and adorable. He smiled brightly and shook his head, "Nope! But I think i've had it before! I know my brother made it! But I denna ken you mean with meat."

Roy: also stared at the boy wide eyed. Frowning he shook his head and tugged off the bloody gloves he was wearing before taking Ed's hands away from his hat. Gently, he put the teens hands on his lap and reached up pulling the hat off again. It was soaked and had literal guts hanging from the inside. Apparently, it had gotten all over Ed's hair because Roy began picking the gunk from his hair. Even while being quick about it, he was careful. Even so, he did have to wind something off of Ed's kitty ear.

Finally he flicked the hat clean and handed it back to Ed, letting him decide if he truly wanted to put it back on. "I think we should talk, but let's get to the car first," Roy suggested.

Al: smiled at the pure soul before him and couldn't help hugging him. Pulling away, he helped the little one into the apron. "We're going to make a sweet pie, with pears," he told him. An apple pie would have been better but there were none. However, there were tons of canned pears. Pulling a chair close to the counter, Al got the ingredients together, making sure to tell Siobhan what each one was. With that, the two got to work and prepared enough pies for dinner that night.

Ed stayed stock still, seemingly more terrified of roy and his reaction than the genuine flesh eaters all around them. His little ears twitched when touched and were undeniably soft, but immediately pressed back to his head, "y-yeah...did you...get what you needed to." he tried to change the subject as he put the hat back on. it might have been more habit, or a sense of comfort more than anything. he tried to pretend he wasn't as affected, that he didnt feel like he was about to throw up as he tossed his bags back over his shoulder, but he was, and he did.

sobhan beamed at al at every opportunity and payed close atention so he could really help. the only thing he wasn't very good at was getting the crust/dough thin enough, he simply didn't have the strength in his Child Arms to get it the proper size, but boy did he try. He was the best at making the lattice or designs on the top, " D'ya think theyll like 'em?" He didn't think there was even a remote chance people -wouldnt- love it, but he couldn't help but ask
