Bradley: Must I watch you dilly dally son? Hurry up.

Al: ^gets Kimblee ready so he can go to the games and watches him leave feeling jittery^ to himself^ today's the day, today's the day

Ed: .grits teeth but gets a move on. Sorry master .sounds like he'd rather punch himself I the throat than say that.

Bradley: You'll stay with me today at the games, is that understood??

Al: ^sneaks out and around the guards, having learned their schedules and slips out a window before scaling down the wall with care^

Roy: ^OMG I LOVE HIM^ and down in the pits he sees some of the gladiators leaning against the opening, one in particular^

Roy: ^stares at him and speaks to himself coz obvs no one else can hear him^ Don't worry, you too will be one of the one's who will be set free when I murder the nobles of this town, I promise little golden flower

A: I have to, I ran from my master and I need a place to hide

Ed: .guess lip slightly and can't help but focus on him v much staring.

J: I-i dont think here's the best place I-i dont know if he woukdnt just swell you out...m-maybe...somewhere else

Bradley: Then Ed’s jaw is grabbed and jerked down so he’s looking at Bradley’s displeased face.

“And what are you gawking at?” He demands, eye narrowing. Bradley shoves his face as he lets go of him, but is clearly still awaiting an answer.

“Perhaps he’s interested in playing,” Bradley’s company piped up. The man eyed Ed hungrily. “I bet he’d be beautiful when he cries. Those brutes in the ring wouldn’t stand a chance against a weeping child.”


Al: lifts his head a bit to look up at Julian. He’s smart so he can read his expression. Al’s shoulders slump and he lets his head fall forward, hair falling in his eyes. From this angle Jules can see its cut in different places, clearly done for fun, his ears nicked and everything.

“I understand…” Al manages to whisper with a wry smile. He can’t bear to lift his head. After a long pause, Al forces a better smile and stands shakily. “I understand,” he repeats more firmly and with a lot of difficulty, turns to go.

ed: lets out a startled little gasp at being grabbed, barely able to avoid falling onto him, and then barely able to avoid stumbling backward after he was released. His look of surprised quickly morphed into ire and disgust as his lips curled and bared his teeth at the man. Unfortunately for Ed, his brain to mouth filter had sizzled under the sun and he let his tongue fly, "I aint no child, " a grin almost feral breaks out across his face, "i wouldn't cry if it was the only water for miles and you were on fire. They're not -brutes- theyre human -beings- and if a crying child halted their hand that makes them more human than -you-"

j: Guilt flowed through Julien like a dam broken. He didn't want to kick him out, but he didn't want him getting hurt more, "I-let me help you...and get you somewhere safer, ill tend your wounds and give you directions to someone who might be able to help..."

The man laughed while Bradley glowered at Ed making him feel icey cold. This would not go unpunished by any sense of th word and it would be painful. "Then why don't you show us how COMPASSIOnATE these beings are. Get in the ring," The man instructed.

Al: shook his head smiling rather sadly. "It's alright.... I don't want to put you in trouble," he spoke truthfully, eyes still downcast. He looked rather small there, thin as can be, wearing rags that were tied at least five times in attempt to keep them from falling off.

Ed tensed completely but his eyes wee all fire, he was already in hot water, why not dive in further, "You assume i'd be some crying kid, if i go in tht ring im comin' out a winner." He spoke big but he had all the faith in his skills, and figured it might be pnishment enough for bradley, to see him tossed around a bit, maybe, maybe not, but it got him away from the man long enough to make allies, and that was always a win.

j: julien smiled, albeit a thin one as he gently touched his fingers to al's wrist, "Im always in trouble, at least this will give me a reason for it, please let me help?"
